Careers at MFS
MFS aims to attract, develop and retain the best and the brightest. We offer a wide range of career opportunities in locations around the globe and in roles across major fields and functions.
In order to take care of other people’s money, we have to take care of each other. That’s why, at MFS, our people are our most valuable asset. We achieve success by bringing our diverse viewpoints together and following a shared set of beliefs and values. That allows us to turn good ideas into potentially great outcomes.
At MFS, we treat each other with respect and trust the skills and value we each bring to the table. Here, everyone has a voice, regardless of identity, affiliation or perspective. We want team players, long-term thinkers, problem solvers and intellectually curious individuals who want to contribute to something bigger than themselves.
What we do – put other people's money to work responsibly – is not only meaningful work, it gives us each clarity in our role as we all play our part in achieving this purpose together. This vision starts with our senior leaders and is embraced throughout the firm. We take the long view on how we manage clients' assets, run our business and help employees grow.
MFS employees make a strong commitment to us, so we do the same for them, giving them what they need to thrive at work, in their personal lives and in the community. We offer a wide range of competitive health and wellness benefits, advancement and development opportunities and the chance to volunteer for causes that matter to our employees.
working at mfs
The culture and work environment we've built at MFS for nearly a century are an important part of who we are. They remind us to do the right thing for our clients and each other. Whether it's providing robust employee benefits, offering flexible working arrangements or nurturing a culture of mutual respect and collaboration, maintaining a competitive and rewarding workplace is an ongoing priority for MFS. In short, MFS is invested in your experience.
Our culture fosters collaboration over competition. That means truly appreciating what we each bring to the table, respecting different opinions and believing that teamwork gets us to the best outcome.
Our values drive us toward the same purpose – creating value responsibly – and doing that in a way that involves humility and respect.
Our investment. MFS employees give a lot to the firm and the firm gives a lot back to us.
Inclusivity at MFS
We learn — From firm-wide training to educational speaker series to events run by our employee resource groups (ERGS), we’re always working to keep the conversation open here and support our inclusive workplace
We build — To foster a sense of belonging for all, MFS employees have built several ERGs, including Pride@MFS (LGBTQ+), WE@MFS (Women), YPN (Young Professionals) and Mosaic@MFS (People of Color). Anyone at MFS is welcome to join these ERGs, including members of the specific community as well as allies
We change — Being self-aware helps us constantly improve our own inclusivity and share lessons learned to help the industry do the same
As you start your career and begin securing your future, wouldn’t it be great to do that for someone else? Working in the investment industry involves more than making money. It’s about making a difference — taking care of other people’s money so they can live better in the future.
We think you'll find a lot to like about who we are and what we stand for:
At MFS, we take the long view - in the way that we invest, run our business and with our employees. If you're thinking of a future with us, we'll do all we can to see the future in you.
Through our co-op and internship programs, you'll be part of a team and work on real business projects while getting a feel for the investment industry. Just like everyone else here, you'll have a seat at the table and contribute your ideas.
This six-month commitment is designed for undergraduate and graduate college students who are enrolled in a co-op program. We offer two co-op cycles: January through June (with recruitment beginning in September) and July through December (with recruitment beginning in February).
Our program is available to undergraduate and graduate level students who are currently enrolled in a college or university. Internships run from May through August, with the recruitment process starting in the fall of the previous year.
This 24-month Rotational Development program helps hard working and highly motivated new graduates gain exposure to and become fully immersed in the investment management industry. Through this program, we hope to attract, develop and retain future leaders across the organization.
Our Legal Fellowship is for candidates who have recently completed their Juris Doctorate studies and have demonstrated commitment to promoting diversity and inclusion and/or have overcome obstacles, challenges or other factors (financial or otherwise) while pursuing a legal career.
