John M. Corcoran

John Corcoran is an executive vice president and chief financial officer of MFS Investment Management® (MFS®). In this role, he oversees all aspects of corporate finance, strategy, fund treasury and corporate services. He is a member of the firm's Management Committee. John was most recently the firm's corporate controller before being named CFO in January 2025. Previously, he had served as Fund President of the MFS Funds and Fund Treasurer for the MFS Meridian Funds. In that role, he managed the financial reporting, tax, fund administration, custody and accounting oversight, and valuation functions at MFS. Prior to joining MFS in 2008, John had been a Senior Vice President at State Street (2000-2008), where his roles included managing the integration of Investors Bank and Trust, holding senior positions in Fund Administration, and serving as Managing Director of State Street's office in Edinburgh, Scotland. John has also served in management roles at JPMorgan Chase from 1993-2000, including Director of Fund Administration and served as an Audit Manager at Ernst & Young (1987-1993). John earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Boston College.
